I would like to thank everyone who has been praying, thinking and sending me encouraging messages over the past three weeks. They have been a tremendous blessing and boost for me during this difficult and confusing time.
I have been diagnosed with Still’s disease, a rare autoimmune disease that causes severe fatigue, fevers, rashes, weight loss and joint inflammation. The doctors suggest that Still’s affects anywhere between 1 in 100,000 and 1.6 in 1,000,000. It can last a few months or become chronic. Because recovery can be so unknown and long I have been fortunate enough to be discharged from hospital after a week to try and gain more rest and recover from home.
Your continual thoughts and prayers are so greatly appreciated. The medication I am on can cause depression and mood swings – so I ask that you might pray (and keep me accountable) that I will find the joy in each day, keep a positive attitude and remain truly appreciative of the great blessings in my life.
